We love what we do
Our Commitments to you and your child:
At Little Explorers we value each child individually. We understand every child is unique and has individual needs. We are fully committed to supporting them within their Health, Care and Educational needs. We offer a broad learning experience and curriculum to each child, we differentiate our planning to ensure inclusion. We are fully committed to working closely with the children and their families to raise outcomes for every child, We understand that children learn at different rates. We are committed to working as closely as possible to other practitioners to help to support each child throughout their time at Little Explorers. We have links with the local community so that we can signpost children and their families to further help if needed. We understand that early intervention can benefit children.
My name is Kerry. I am happily married and a proud parent to my daughter, Darcy and son Hugo. I became a Registered Childminder in 2015 and am a fully qualified Early Years Teacher and Early Years Practitioner (Level 6). I also hold a degree in Childhood, Youth and Community Studies, both qualifications gained at the University of Winchester.
I have extensive experience working across a range of early years settings and am committed to continually developing my professional knowledge through regular training, courses, and webinars. I keep my Safeguarding (every two years) and Paediatric First Aid training (every three years) fully up to date and remain passionate about providing high-quality early years care, a role I genuinely love.
My name is Jo. I am happily married, have two daughters, and am a proud grandmother to five grandchildren. I work alongside Kerry and began my role as a Childminder Assistant in 2015 before registering as a Childminder in June 2017. We work closely in partnership, supporting one another through reflection and the development of new ideas.
I am committed to maintaining and developing my professional skills through ongoing training, courses, and webinars, and keep my Safeguarding updated (every two years) and my Paediatric First Aid training updated (every three years). With many years’ experience in early years settings and primary schools, as well as a strong background in catering, I take pride in providing healthy, balanced meals. Little Explorers is based within my home environment, and I genuinely enjoy welcoming children into our setting each day.
