As childminders it is vital that we actively promote equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory practices for every child. We will ensure to treat each individual child with equal concern and respect.
We recognise and welcome all legislation and existing codes of practice produced by appropriate commissions, for example the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
We ensure to adapt activities to meet each individual child’s ability and stage of development.
All children are given the opportunity to play with all the toys (subject to health and safety). We aim to ensure the toys reflect a positive image of different cultures.
No child within our care will be discriminated against in anyway, they should be treated equally no matter what colour their skin, what culture they’re from, their gender, their ability or their religion. Little Explorers challenges any inappropriate remarks.
We encourage our children to learn about the culture and religions of others, this is done through a range of activities. We encourage the children to respect and value others.
